Our Story
How it Started
Back in 2017, two best mates from the UK came to the Canary Islands after uni. With a couple of backpacks, a few beers, and a lot of ambition, Columbus was born. Inspired by hostels around Southeast Asia, the Americas, and Europe — one thing stood out: The people you meet make the trip unforgettable. So we built a place that wasn’t just about beds. It’s about connections. About conversations on rooftops. About arriving as a stranger and leaving as a friend.
